Fraudulent Websites Impersonating CMBI Official Website and Online Login Pages

Dear clients and investors,

During a recent routine inspection, CMB International Capital Corporation Limited and its subsidiaries (“CMBI” or “the group”) discovered websites impersonating our company. These websites are configured with 5 IP addresses, enticing customers to deposit funds and trade products. Registration requires no documentation and involves no apparent verification. CMBI urges the public to remain highly vigilant and take note of the following fraudulent websites impersonating the official website of CMBI:

  • IP1: 107.149.112.202
  • IP2: 107.149.112.203
  • IP3: 107.149.112.204
  • IP4: 107.149.112.205
  • IP5: 107.149.112.206

The pages of the aforementioned websites contain keywords such as "CMB International", "CMB", and "CMB International Futures". CMBI solemnly clarifies that the fraudulent websites and their online login pages have no relationship whatsoever with the Group. The Group reiterates that all the aforementioned information is false and urges the public to exercise extreme caution when dealing with communications from unknown sources:

  • Do not reply to unsolicited emails or click on suspicious links or attachments.
  • Do not send money or disclose account details if asked by anyone claiming to be CMBI staff or have insider trading news requesting stock purchases, investment schemes, or tax payments.
  • Please report any suspected impersonation, fake documents, or suspicious communications immediately to CMBI or the local Police.

CMBI has already reported the incident to the Hong Kong Police and lodged a complaint regarding the fake websites with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Members of the public who have provided personal information to the website or suspect they have been defrauded should immediately contact The Crime Wing Headquarters of the Hong Kong Police Force (Telephone Number: 2860 5012).
