Beware of Fraudulent Emails Impersonating CMB International
CMB International Capital Corporation Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively, "CMB International" or "the Group") have recently discovered fraudulent emails sent in the name of CMB International with the subject line "Urgent: Passkey Activation Required". The content of these emails does not represent any official notice from CMB International.
Using urgent phrasing such as "Activate Passkey" and "failure to do so will restrict account access or prevent the opening of new positions", these emails attempt to induce clients into logging in or providing data, and are suspected to be phishing scams impersonating CMB International.
CMB International reiterates that all the aforementioned messages are false and urges the public to remain highly vigilant when dealing with communications from unknown sources:

2. Do not reply to emails from unknown sources, nor click on suspicious links or attachments.
3. Do not transfer funds, disclose account information, trade stocks, participate in investment plans, or pay taxes at the request of anyone claiming to be a CMB International employee or claiming to have insider information.
4. Report Immediately: If you discover any suspicious impersonation, forged documents, or communications, please report them immediately to CMB International or your local police.
CMB International has already reported the incident to the Hong Kong Police Force and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) regarding the fraudulent emails. Members of the public who have provided personal data to this website or suspect they have been scammed should immediately contact the Crime Wing Information Centre of the Hong Kong Police Force (Telephone: 2860 5012).
